Grace Connolly finished 9th place today at the Footlocker National Championships in San Diego, California.
Although only a sophomore, Connolly ran like a veteran as she refused to get caught up in the early fast pace and remained in the middle of the pack. She came on strong in the last mile to just crack the top 10. Connolly finished with a time of 17:50.09 on the tough Balboa Park course.
A few weeks ago, Connolly qualified for the National finals with a 4th place finish at the Footlocker Northeast Championships in the Bronx, NY.
