Boston Holiday Challenge Recap !

The Boston Holiday Challenge is one of the smaller meets to pass through Reggie Lewis Center, but it packs just enough punch to allow for some fast performances. The 8th Annual event is one of the only MSTCA events open to other states, as teams from New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York participated at the Reggie Lewis Center,

The Hurdles kicked off the day as Westfield High Senior Morgan Sanders had no problem winning both her trial and final heats as she was clocked 8.56. Olivia Robbins of Shenendehowa (NY) was 2nd place 8.92. Check out the Morgan Sanders Interview below.

The Boys Mile featured the most impressive performance of the day, as Grant Hauver of Wachsett ran a solid early season Mile in 4:23. The pace was very slow for the first 600M, but the Wachusett senior put on an impressive showing in the last 400M to out-kick Mitchell Halpern of Shenendehowa (NY).

Abigail Long didn't waste anytime getting on the track. The Junior from Bishop Feehan just recently ran in the Nike Cross-Country Nationals in Oregon. Long opened her season off with a strong showing in the mile. She pulled away from Margaret Champagne of Seton Catholic, Ny. in the last 400M to win the mile in 5:13.
