Division 1
The girls EMass Division 1 race went pretty much as expected, with Clare Martin (18:16) and Rebecca Grusby (18:25) distancing themselves from the field in the last half of the race. The duo worked together over the last mile to capture the 1-2 finish and pretty much sealed the deal for a Newton South victory. The Lions had solid finishes from Caroline Barry (14th-19:43)), Katherine Collins (18th-20:00), and sophomore Emily Bulczynski (29th-20:25). last years champion Kaley Richards finished 3rd place clocking in at 18:45. The defending champions from Lexington took home the runner-up trophy with 87 point.

Division 2
The most powerful Division in the state did not disappoint yesterday as the individual and team battles were the most exciting of the day. Margie Cullen of Needham (1st-17:30) and Ariel Keklak (2nd-17:34) of Lincoln Sudbury raced stride for stride for almost 3 miles with Cullen pulling away over the last few rolling hills. Cullen's strength played a key factor in the race as the crazy winds swept through the fields of Wrentham. These two will do it all over again at the D1 meet at Stanley park. Even with the wind, Cullen's time just missed Catarina Rocha's course record of 17:27. Beverly sophomore Julia Curtin (17:55) stayed with both Keklak and Cullen for over half the race, and held on to the third spot. Lincoln- Sudbury lived up to their #1 ranking capturing the team title with 77 points. Eight points separated the next three teams with Needham taking the runner-up trophy home with 91 points.

Division 3
Abigail Long (1st-18:23) led her Bishop Feehan team to their 11th straight Eastern Mass title. Long finished twenty two seconds ahead of Samantha Coletti (2nd- 19:01) of Whitman Hanson. Bishop Feehan was unchallenged for the top spot defeating the next team by 70 points. The runner-up trophy went to Hopkinton High School with 163 points.

Division 4
Milton showed why they are the clear favorites going into next week's finally. The three headed monster of O'Leary, O'Leary, and Mitchell is going to be tough for any team to match up with, as they all finished in the top five in yesterday's D4 Championships. Colette O'Leary (1st-18:46) put on a late surge in the final stretch to outkick Sarah Tully (2nd-18:49) of Wayland. Elise O'Leary (5th-19:12) finished in the third spot and teammate Bridget Mitchell (18:52) finished fifth.

Division 5
Sarah Edwards of Bellingham dominated the D5 race clocking a time of 18:42. Her solo effort was 30 seconds ahead of second place finisher Olivia Horgan (19:13) of Hamilton Wenham. Old Rochester knocked off defending champion for the team title.

Division 6
The Division 6 race witnessed two freshman battling it out for the individual title. Eve Feuerbach (18:57) of Manchester Essex outkicked Rachael Johnson (19:01) of Coyle Cassidy. Manchester Essex and Ursuline Academy mirrored last years team finish.
