PEMBROKE — On a day the Pembroke boys took the Division 3 track title on their home turf, the Bishop Feehan girls capped an emotional season with their team title.

The Shamrocks, wearing black shirts with the words “Get It” on the front, ran in honor of their former coach, Dominc Cusano, who died in early March.

“We have his name on our shoes, our shirts, to remind us who we run for,” said Meaghan Luongo.

The phrase, “Get It,” was something Cusano would often yell to push his team. His distinct, booming voice from the stands could be heard at track level.

“We visualize him yelling,” said Riley Scharland. “We pray before races for support.”
