Olivia Brackett was lost in the Rocky Mountains somewhere in Wyoming, where the 19-year-old from Weston, a budding track star at Colgate University, would go 30 days without running for the first time in three years.
With more than a week’s worth of rations in a 60-pound bag strapped to her back, with grizzly bears, sheep, elk, moose, black bears, coyote, and gray wolves roaming the area, Brackett hoped her survival skills would be enough to get her out of the mostly snow-covered land approximately 10,000 feet above sea level.
