Minutewomen Finish Second At AIC Invitational Apr 3, 2011

The UMass women's track and field team finished in second place at the AIC Invitational on Saturday, April 2 and scored 199 team points. The Minutewomen had six first place finishes at the meet in the 1500 meter run, the 3000 meter steeplechase, the high jump, the pole vault, the long jump, and the triple jump.

ResultsThe men's track and field team had a change of plans this weekend, which took the squad to the Yellow Jacket Invitational at American International College in Springfield, Mass. The change had no effect on the Minutemen as Ken O'Brien's team captured first place in a field of seven teams, tallying 175 points.
