New England's: Six Events You Don't Want To Miss

Boys' 800m

This race should be fast from the start with an opening 400m split around 54 seconds! On the line will be eight that have broken 1:54, which includes the top six finishers from last week's CIAC State Open. That race featured our No. 1, 2 and 3 seeds and sub 1:53 runners  - Derby's Ken Little (1:52.05), William Hall's Miller Anderson (1:52.93) and Fairfield Ludlow's Ian Bartlett (1:52.98). East Greenwich's Cebastian Gentil, who set a meet record of 1:53.21 at the recent RI State Meet, always shows up with his 'A' game and should be in the mix. Other possible contenders for podium placements are the Connecticut trio of Joe Pearl of Manchester (1:53.74), Danbury's Malcolm Going (1:53.85) and Stonington's Rhys Hammond (1:53.96) as well as Classical (RI) sophomore Conor Murphy (1:54.30) and Newton North's Theo Burba (1:54.61), .who recently captured his first individual MA state title.
