Dainton had a dominant junior season where she saw a six-inch improvement in the vertical leap. The Hingham star was undefeated against her MA rivals and captured the state and New England titles. Dainton achieved a best of 5 feet, 8 inches, which she did twice, capturing the Last Chance Meet and the Division 3 state crown. Dainton's top competitor will be Wellesley's Julia Jordahl-Henry, a runner-up at the All State Meet with a best of 5-6.5. With such a dramatic improvement from her sophomore year it will be interesting to see if that trend continues for Dainton's final season on the indoor surface. Is a six-footer possible?
