VOTE For The Top Performance Of The Weekend!

The final meets of the month took place this past Saturday with the Frank Kelley Invitational and Wachusett Invitational attracting our Bay Staters to the starting line. Hopedale's Brandon Hall made it twice as nice at Wachusett where he claimed his second straight individual title in the Class C race with a time of 16 minutes, 7 seconds. Tristan Shelgren of St. John Prep further solidified his status as one of the state's best, winning the Championship race of the Frank Kelley Invitational with a PB of 15:24.53. In the girls' event it was Littleton's Sarah Roffman outdistancing her twin sister Kaitlyn to the finish line with a fast 18:46.52 clocking in her debut cross-country season. Stoneham's Mari Avola nearly matched Roffamn's time to capture the Division 2 Open race with an 18:47.13 effort. Arlington Catholic's Sean Key, who is just a sophomore, clocked 16:07.56 to take the boys' Division 2 race.

Now we want your vote! Of the five performances that we picked for this week's poll, pick the one you feel belongs at the top. Voting ends Saturday at midnight.

* Last week we had two separate polls. With more than 50 percent of the votes, Wellesley was our top vote-getters among the boys. The Raiders were nominated for their win in the Championship race of the Ocean State Invitational. In the girls' poll, Tewksbury's runner-up finish at Ocean State garnered the most votes.
