Lowell, last year's boys' team champion at Amherst, will heading a little further north this year, testing their strength against some regional heavies at the Manchester Invitational at Derryfield Park in New Hampshire. The Red Raiders will compete in the Large School race where they will be matched against New England powerhouses Bishop Hendricken (RI), La Salle Academy (RI) and Concord (NH). Hopkinton will be the lone boys' squad in the Small School division. For girls' Pembroke is scheduled to toe the line in the Large School race, one that includes the 1-2-3 finishers at last year's New England meet, New Hampshire rivals, Champlain Valley, Souhegan and Pinkerton. The Small School race will include Hopkinton.
