With several athletes contributing, Mansfield High captured the boys' crown at the Division 2 Championships on Sunday. The Hornets defeated runner-up Woburn, 66-56. In the girls' competition, Wellesley received some key placements in the jumping events en route to an 82-68 win over second-place Woburn.
In the boys' meet, Brighton's Ricky Francois captured both short sprints, breaking the tape in the 55-meter dash in 6.5 seconds and establishing a meet record of 34.72 in the 300m. Francois also anchored his squad's winning 4x200m relay (1:31.68) with a blistering sub 23-econd leg.
Natick's Grace Connolly was a double-winner for girls, taking the mile (5:03.69) and the two mile (11:08.17).
