Josh Hoey, Bishop Shanahan (Downingown, PA)
Hoey, a junior, made his mark last year as a tenth-grader when he captured the featured mile at the Penn Relays Carnival. The PA runner clocked his all-time best of 4:11.90, the second best in the field. Hoey proved he has some wheels on Jan. 7 when he won the 800m title at the Hispanic Games with an indoor best of 1:54.50. As of this writing, that time ranks him No. 4 in the country. Back in December, he was the winner of the AT&T Coaches Track & Field Invitational where he was timed in a respectable 4:17.63.
