After much soul searching Billy Orman (Tuba City HS 2011) will be leaving Harvard to attend Stanford University this fall.

According to Orman the decision to leave Harvard was a difficult one.  "My decision was primarily an academic one.  I found the classes weren't exactly what I was looking for in a college.  I still like Harvard and I'll always remember my time there.  In the end, I just think Stanford will be a better fit academically."

Orman was running in the number 2 spot on the Harvard Cross Country team last fall until an injury sidelined him for the season.

The move will also be good one for his Tuba City family.  "Being closer to home will be very nice as my parents might actually be able to me race once in awhile."

The great weather in Palo Alto California will also be a plus for Orman but leaving Harvard will not be easy for him.  "I am definitely going to miss many things about Harvard.  I loved the Cambridge area and all the character it has.  And of course I'm leaving behind many good friends that I made."

With the move to Stanford Orman will be part of the Pac-12's and we may just get to see him running in Arizona again!
