Wekend Highlights

  • On what many consider a much slower course than previous years, the Newton South girls won the Hartford Riverfront Invitational with a team time of 1:47:42.6.  The Lions finished 3 points ahead of perennial power Glastonbury from Connecticut and were led by Anna Rhatigan (20:32) who finished second overall.  Anna Lawrence (20:53), Lucrecia Aguilar (21:12), Emily Caggiano (22:29), and Hannah Friedman (22:32) completed Newton South's scoring.  Results
  • Brookline continues their lineup shuffle as they also traveled to the Hartford Riverfront Invitational.  Cherenet Sisay made his first major appearance of the year and cruised to a second place finish in 16:50.  The Warriors finished 3rd in the Invitational section behind the all senior group of Grigoriy Gressel (17:49), Evan Sternstein (18:25), Max Shore (18:40), and David Whipple (18:43).  Results
