Several Massachusetts high school athletes set personal records at the MIAA Meet of Champions on June 4.
Ethan Caulfield (St. John's Prep) threw 57-3.5 in the shot put, improving from his previous best of 52-6 set in May. The mark ranks #5 in Massachusetts and #1 among juniors. Caulfield placed third of 32 competitors.
Teresa Moresi (Mount Greylock Regional) cleared 11-0 in the pole vault, bettering her previous PR of 10-0.08. The vault set a school record and ranks #4 in the state and #2 among seniors. Moresi finished third of 18 competitors.
Leila Eccher (Wellesley) jumped 18-9.75 in the long jump, improving from 17-10. The mark ranks #11 in Massachusetts and #1 among juniors. Eccher placed fifth of 30 competitors.
Desahn Walker (Oliver Ames) leaped 23-4 in the long jump, improving from 22-4.75 set in May. The jump established a school record and ranks #9 in the state and #1 among juniors. Walker finished sixth of 29 competitors.
Ryan McCormack (Wayland) jumped 23-6.5 in the long jump, improving from 22-7.25. The mark set a school record and ranks #7 in Massachusetts. McCormack placed fourth of 29 competitors and also set a PR in pole vault, clearing 14-6 after entering with a best of 14-1.
Millicent Tuohy (Andover) cleared 5-6 in the high jump, improving from 5-4 set in May. The mark ranks #3 in the state. Tuohy won the event among 32 competitors.
Kaitlyn Boakye-Yiadom (Westford Academy) ran 14.44 in the 100m hurdles, improving from 14.89 set in May. The time set a school record and ranks #4 in Massachusetts and #1 among freshmen. Boakye-Yiadom placed fourth of 39 competitors.
