Highlights
- Mansfield won both team titles by a significant margin.
- In the 2 mile, Shayne Collins of Mansfield and Chris Allen of King Philip passed the mile mark at 4:35; with Kieran Kinnare, Kevin Thomas, and Drew Beck all following with approximately 20 meter gaps between each. Collins made a move at the mile mark and proceeded to split 68.8, 70.5, 68.6, and 62.8 to break away from Allen for the win in 9:08.79. Allen would hold off the rest of the field for second place and a very impressive time of 9:18.60.
- Josh Lampron, of Mansfield just missed the meet record in the 800m but still secured the win in 1:54.61. Four other athletes ran under 1:57.0, with Sean Gorham of Oliver Ames finishing second in 1:56.04. Lampron would return to anchor the Mansfield 4x800m team to a 8:03.88 winning time. In that race he ran a 1:52.8, with splits of 53.6 and 59.2. Silverlake would finish second in 8:06.82.
- Anthony Fodera of Reading Memorial won the javelin with a throw of 187'3". Ian Riley of Needham finished second at 171'2".
- Jen Esposito of Mansfield destroyed the 400m hurdles meet record of 63.53 set in 2009 by Michelle Jenssen. Esposito won the event in 61.55; just off her MA#1 time of 61.54 that she posted at the Penn Relays.
- Rebecca Robinson of Arlington set a new meet record in the 400m with a MA#1 time of 55.03.
- Nick King and Griffin Robertson, both of Mansfield, went 1-2 in the 400m with 48.93 and 49.40 times respectively. Both would later help Mansfield win the 4x400m relay with a new meet record time of 3:23.02. King's open 400m time was also a new meet record.
- Peter Farlow of Needham won the 400m hurdles (55.31) and the 110m hurdles (15.31).
- Jade Paul of Stoughton and Emily Grotz of Oliver Ames turned the 800m into a Hockomock League dual meet. Paul would get the win in 2:17.32, with Grotz in second (2:18.32) and Abby Baker of Whitman-Hanson in third (2:18.40).
- Katie Jessee of Concord Carlisle won the mile in 5:12.47.
- Kristen McDonagh of Mansfield won the high jump (5'6") and the 100m hurdles (15.44).
- Central Catholic blistered the field in the girls 4x800m; winning the event by over 12 seconds in 9:39.32.
- The Mansfield and Wellesley girls needed every inch of the 4x400m relay to determine the winner. Mansfield would edge Wellesley at the line 3:59.74 to 3:59.79.
- Tori Catanzano of Central Catholic set a new meet record with her winning triple jump of 38'3". The old record of 38'1" was set back in 1992 by Joanne Durant of Stoughton.
- Catholic Memorial set a new meet record in the boys 4x100m relay; winning the event in 42.97.
- Notre Dame Academy and Falmouth were honored by the MIAA with the 2011 Sportsmanship Award. Both teams were introduced at the stadium and presented with plaques following the 100m finals.
