Community Voted Boys Athlete Of The Year

Over the past week, the MileSplit Massachusetts community came together to vote for the 2019 MileSplit Massachustts Boys Athlete Of The year. As a community, you chose a clear winner that took home over 2700 of the 3700 total votes.

This athlete, Gregory Desrosiers of Belmont Hill School, has proven his talent in not only in Track & Field, but also as a wide receiver in football. His most impressive Track & Field performances, however, have come in the Decathlon. Desrosiers impressed many at the 2019 New Balance Nationals Outdoor Meetwhere he finished 2nd overall. A 2020 graduate, Desrosiers is looking to further impress Massachusetts, as well as the rest of the nation, during his final year of high school with his extensive athletic achievements and talents.

Our runner up on the list, Noah Sweeney of Acton-Boxborough High, recieved over 500 votes. Sweeney finished up an impressive final year of Track & Field, having lead all of Massachusetts in the 100 meters during the 2019 Outdoor season. Sweeney is continuing his career at Northeastern University in Boston, MA this fall.
