VOTE For The Most Impressive Boys' Victory From Saturday's Coaches Invitational

A few schools held their top runners from competing this past Saturday at the Coaches Invitational to prepare them for the upcoming divisional state championships, but the meet still produced its share of quality performance on the dirt trails of the Wrentham Developmental Center. Newton North's Andrew Mah proved he's ready for his anticipated showdown with St. John's Prep Tristan Shelgren at the Eastern Division 1 states with a fast 15:20 in the Div. 1 Junior-Senior race. In the Div. 2 race, Parker Charter's Nico Agosta was a 15-second victor, crossing the line at 16:14.37. Ian Horsbugh held off King Philip's Mike Griffin to claim the Div. 1 Sophomore race where he was timed in 16:01 to Griffin's 16:05.83. Both times would have placed them 2-3 in the Junior-Senior event. Strickland Davis of Plymouth South dipped under 17 minutes to claim the Div. 2 Sophomore race. In the two Freshmen race on a 3K course, it was Joeben Jacobs in Div. 1 (10:11.29) and Seekonk's Andrew Cabral in Div. 2 (9:48.21).

Now we want your vote! Vote for the individual that you feel belongs at the top. Voting ends Saturday at midnight.
