Weekend Wrap-Up: Things Are Starting To Heat Up!

Twilight Invitational - Division 1 Boys

Brookline's Lucas Aramburu, a third-place finisher at last year's All State Finals and a winner at the Amherst Invitational last month, beat a strong field in this race where 17 went under 16 minutes! Aramburu ran a smart race, holding back with the lead pack for the first two-thirds of the race before taking control the last mile. The Brookline senior was timed in 15:32.1. Plymouth North's Nick McNamee (second, 15:37.5) and Saint John's Patrick Craemer (third, 15:42.0) followed Aramburu across the line.

"A big meet like this everyone is coming in trying to win," Aramburu said. "I came in here knowing these are all guys I raced before.I kind of knew the field and know all of them were at my level. Of course I came into this knowing I had a shot of winning."

How about Saint John's? Craemer, Joshua Rahn (14th, 15:53.40) and Joe Walsh (15:57.80) fueled the Pioneers with their sub-16 efforts.
