Watch some of the top collegiate and open runners compete at the annual Boston University Dave Hemery Valentine Invitational this weekend. The two-day meet will be featured LIVE on FloTrack on Friday and Saturday. If it's anything like last year's meet, you should be in for a treat.
In the 2016 event, three BU facility records were set. Canadian Olympian Brendon Rodney established a MR in the 200-meter dash with a blazing 20.52 effort. Quanera Hayes, a silver medalist for 400m at last year's World Indoor Championships, established a new mark in her specialty with a time of 52.0. The third record was broken in the women's 800m where Great Britain Olympian Lynsey Sharp nearly dipped under two minutes with a 2:00.3 clocking.
