The boys team from Lowell rolled through the Amherst Invitational yesterday out in Western Mass. The defending State Champions left no doubt that they are the best team in the Bay State until someone proves otherwise. They placed five in the top eight spots to score an extremely low 26 points. Leading the Red Raiders were Senior Chris Polanco (3rd-16:03), Anthony Rodriguez (4th-16:03), Martin Mungai (6th-16:11), Chris Galarza (7th-16:12), and Colin Fitzpatrick (8th-16:17) rounded out their top five. The next three team spots went to out of State teams as New Milford, Ct (2nd-138 points) , Danbury, Ct (3rd-158 point), and Keene, NH finished fourth. The Rockets from Needham was the second Massachusetts team as they finished as respectable fifth place.

"The Boys ran a strong race and they ran together which is what we thought could happen. As late as 4K we still had all seven within ten seconds and then it strung out strung out for the finish. We've had a solid start to the year but plenty of work remains ahead of us. we will analyze this race, correct a few mistakes, but we're moving on and focussing on improvement for our next big meet down in Manhattan on Oct. 8th." said Assistant Coach Scott Ouellet

Oulellet praised his leaders, "Chris and Arod looked like the experience leaders that they always have been"

Jonathan Allard of Keene, NH won the Individual with a winning time of 15:59. Allard improved on his 4th Place in 2015.
