Girls Varsity:
The Needham High School girls pen the season right where they left off. The Rockets won the Varsity race at the Amherst Invitational despite missing a few key varsity members. Sarah Armstrong showed why she is a serious threat to make a run at an individual State title, as she broke the Amherst course record clocking in at 17:57. Teammate Margie Cullen (2nd-18:16) battled Elizabeth Costantino (3rd-1:20) of Notre Dame Academy in Hingham for the second spot. The Cougars of NDA are off to a fast start as they fell only 4 points behind Needham. They had strong finishes from both Elizabeth Costantino (11th-19:24) and Elizabeth Harrington (12th-19:24). Northampton captured third place with 109 points.

Boys Varsity:
Our virtual meet had it a showdown between Danbury, Ct and Lowell High School. Danbury ended up taking the trophy back to Connecticut, as they place three runners just over the sixteen minute barrier. Ryan Ansel (6th-16:00), Eric Waterman (7th-16:00), and Ryan Fox (11th-16:05) were just to much for Lowell to handle. Lowell, last years champions, was missing a key lead runner but still had enough depth to hang onto a second place finish. Northampton had a solid day as the boys equalled the girls 3rd place finish. Westfield High School senior Ben Doiron was first to cross the finish line clocking at 15:48.
