Amherst Invitational: Worters, Conway Crowned Champions !

 
Shepherd Hill Senior Stella Worters won the varsity race at the Amherst Invitational. Worthers, a senior, won with a time of 18:47 over Carmon Bango (18:50) of Woodstock Union in Vermont. Stella Worthers was the runnerup in the 2012 race. In the team competition, Pomperaug High School (133 points) of Connecticut edged out Weymouth High School  (140 Points). 
 
In the boys competition, the defending Masaachusetts State Champions Lowell High School walked away with the victory. Lowell scored a rather low 55 points, Shrewsbury High school finished second place with 117 points. In the individual competition, only five seconds seperated the top 3 runners.  Samual Conway (15:58) of Minnechaug Regional High School won a narrow victory over Lowell's Johnny Abraham (16:00). Benjamin Dorion of Westfield was third at 16:03.
