Scituate Track and Field Gears for Postseason

The Scituate track and field team has had a pretty good regular season, and are now looking toward the post-season with an optimistic eye.

“We have the Patriot League Championships Thursday and the State Division 3 Championships on Valentine’s Day,” Scituate coach Brett Johnson said. “Unfortunately, a school trip to France has weakened the teams for this meet. I’m basically looking to get athletes in best shape to succeed at States.”

Johnson feels he has the talent to do it.

“Some people in particular have a great chance to move on to the All-State Meet on Feb 23rd,” he said. “Jack Kahrs (HJ and 300m), Maria Garman (55m hurdles and HJ), Hannah Hoffman (600m), Phoebe Ryan (300m) and Curran Wait (1000m). Both of our 4x200 teams are also in the hunt with the fourth (girls) and fifth (boys) times in Division 3 this year thus far.”
