I was very moved by each of these great coach's induction speeches. I can't imagine how wonderful a feeling it must have been for Mike to be inducted by his father! Phil might be one of the most gracious, soft-spoken and humble coaches I've ever met. He has certainly set a great example for his coaching staff. I must admit I did not know much about Dr. Rasool, however, I certainly look forward to seeing him again and speaking with him about his "wish list". Coach Thornhill's work with the NE Clinic is quite astonishing to me. I have always enjoyed myself and learned many lessons while attending each year. Thanks to all of you exceptional coaches for being there for us, "younger guys". It has been a great pleasure learning from you all.
At today's MSTCA Hall of Fame induction, the Assocation that drives track and field in Massachusetts inducted four new members into its prestigious Hall of Fame. Created in 1979, the MSTCA Coaches Hall of Fame is home to some of the greatest coaches ever to grab a whistle and clipboard, and couldn't have chosen four more desrving candidates for this honor in 2012.
