Ramzi Bechara, Norton high school

What do you enjoy doing outside of your running?

The one thing I enjoy the most outside of running is being able to see all my friends pretty much every day during school, or after.

What are you going to miss most about your high school running career?

The awesome times the team had together especially the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team where we accomplished so much these last 3 years!

What was your most memorable race?

My most memorable race was the day me, and my Shuttle Hurdle Relay team raced in New York for New Balance Nationals Indoor .

Out of all your high school running accomplishments, what stands out the most?

One of my track accomplishments that stand out the most was getting the all-time D4 state record for the Shuttle Hurdle Relay and being the only SHR to qualify for indoor nationals in all of D4.

What was the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

One difficult obstacle that I feel like most of all trackless had to overcome was getting that perfect balance of school, fun and track to work together Track is an individual sport, but after the race, after the meet is over, you are part of a team of people, accomplishing something so much more than just winning a single race.

If you were to change anything about your high school running career.....what would you change?

If anything had been changed of my high school running career it would not have ended the way it did, so I wouldn’t have changed it at all.

Do you have any advice for younger runners?

Track is an individual sport, but after the race, after the meet is over, you are part of a team of people, accomplishing something so much more than just winning a single race

What are your college plans?

I start in the fall at Umass Dartmouth majoring in Bioengineering

Who would you like to say thank you to?

Everyone and anyone who gave me motivation, who pushed the past four years to run faster, explode out of the blocks faster and jump lower to the hurdle.
