In Michigan, US#6 Calvin Christian, MI claimed the 2000+ athlete merged Portage Invitational by over 100 points; placing four in the top five to also claim the D3 Championship. It is speculated to be the top team performance in meet history. To Coach Laurens TenKate's dismay meet officials would not allow Calvin Christian to compete in the D1 race. US#11 Southlake Carroll, TX jumps in the polls after defeating previously top ten ranked US#14 Kingwood, TX to claim the Nike South Invitational. US#25 Pennsbury, PA has improved every meet of the season and exceeded expectations with a dominant 4th place showing at the Eastern States Championships to leap back into the national rankings.
