NHSCA National Team Rankings (5th edition)


 

US#1 Arcadia, CA maintains the top position and like the end result of the 2010 Nike Cross Nationals Team Championships is the team to beat. US#2 Bismarck, ND leaps US#3 Christian Brothers Academy, NJ with a historic team effort at the WDA Championships. For the third consecutive week perhaps the top team in North Dakota State history packs a 10-second spread for a perfect 15-point victory. Team Leader Jake Leingang continues to roll uncontested in his quest for an individual and team national championships. US#3 Christian Brothers Academy, NJ dominates US#7 Fayetteville Manlius, NY; US#22 Rush Henrietta Sperry, NY; and US#23 Don Bosco Prep, NJ to claim the Eastern States Championships. In Michigan, US#6 Calvin Christian, MI claimed the 2000+ athlete merged Portage Invitational by over 100 points; placing four in the top five to also claim the D3 Championship. It is speculated to be the top team performance in meet history. To Coach Laurens TenKate's dismay meet officials would not allow Calvin Christian to compete in the D1 race. US#4 Southlake Carroll, TX jumps in the polls after defeating US#12 Palos Verdes, CA at the Nike South Invitational.

 

US#1 Fayetteville Manlius, NY runs another top team championship performance to claim the Eastern States Championship. Averaging 14:47 for the Manhattan Invitational Vanny 4K course they are on par with '08,'09','10 National Championship teams. Topping US#5 Tatnall, DE; US#7 North Shore, NY; US#25 Pennsbury, PA; and previously ranked US#22 Champlain Valley Union, VT. US#11 Southlake Carroll, TX jumps in the polls after defeating previously top ten ranked US#14 Kingwood, TX to claim the Nike South Invitational. US#25 Pennsbury, PA has improved every meet of the season and exceeded expectations with a dominant 4th place showing at the Eastern States Championships to leap back into the national rankings.
