Massachusetts (MIAA) All-State Outdoor Championships
- Andrea Keklak, Lincoln-Sudbury, is currently US#10 at 800m (2:08.78) and will try to take down Ari Lambie's 2002 meet record of 2:08.74.
- Kyle Quinn is US#9 in the javelin at 207'9". Last year he threw 217"11 around this time of year and is the current meet record holder at 202'6".
- John Murray and Shayne Collins will square-off again in the 2 mile. Murray is a Foot Locker All-American in cross country and is currently US#3 at 3,000m (8:27.00). Collins is currently US#6 at 5,000m (14:39.83) and posted a 9:08.79 to win his division meet last week. Collins was 3rd and Murray was 7th in the 2 mile at the New Balance Indoor Nationals and both will be chasing Alberto Salazar's meet record of 9:00.00 (h). Alberto Salazar's meet record!
- Josh Lampron, Mansfield, split 1:52.8 in the 4x800m relay after winning the open 800m in 1:54.61 last week. He will attempt to break the 1975 meet record of 1:52.20 set by Bill Martin.
- Jen Esposito, Mansfield, is currently ranked US#12 for the 400m hurdles (61.54). She will be chasing the 2010 meet record of Megan Krumpoch (61.21).
- Moira Cronin, Andover, is currently tied for US#3 at 5'10" in the high jump. If she can clear that height again she will be tied for the meet record with Becky Bryan (a mark she set in 1987).
- Rebecca Robinson, Alrington, ran 55.03 alone to win the Division 2 title in the 400m . She has a legitimate shot at running under 55 seconds and breaking Jennifer Vendeti's 1999 record of 54.98.
- Vanessa Clerveaux of Brockton enters the meet at 14.37 in the 100m hurdles; already under Kate Sherman's 2004 meet record of 14.44. Kayla Wong and Nicole Genard also have a shot at that time if the group can get out fast.
- Nadia Eke of Holy Name is on the verge of cracking the 42 foot barrier in the triple jump. She has jumped 41'9" this season and has her sights set on Arantxa King's 2006 meet record of 42'00".
- Brendan Sullivan of Westford Academy has the best pole vault mark ever in the state of Massachusetts. He can break Ross McDonald's 2010 record of 15'0" if he can replicate his 15'7" clearance from a few weeks ago.
- The Acton-Boxborough boys and the Lincoln-Sudbury girls have a shot at the 4x800m relay records, but it's going to take a tremendous effort by both squads given the open events they are scheduled to run.
