Wellesley Duo Makes It Happen At Loucks Games


Massachusetts made its mark this past weekend at the prestigious Glenn B. Loucks Games.

The three-day meet, held in White Plains, New York from Friday to Sunday, saw several Bay Staters manufacture some national-level performances, including a pair of Wellesley High teammates earning gold.

The Raiders' Anna Jordahl-Henry made it to the top of the podium twice. She won the high jump with a state-leading height of 5 feet, 6 inches. Jordahl-Henry also won the 200m (see above) with a personal best of 24.94 seconds.

Wellesley's Abby Comella broke the tape in the 400m dash where she was timed in a state No. 1 and all-time best of 55.65.

Westford Academy's Jason Dolan was fourth overall in the 800m . clocking the fastest time in the state of 1:53.89. Dolan also ran a 4:15 mile leg on his team's sixth-place Distance Medley Relay that combined for a time of 10:32.90. Saint John's was fourth in the race with a time of 10:29.63.

Greater New Bedford's Dejury Amado finished fifth in the 200m with a fast 21.83 effort.

In the mile, Lowell's Carlos Rivera (4:22.37) and Nasir Gibson (4:24.60) went sub 4:25.
