Utilizing a patient approach, Nauset's Madaket Nobili won this race with a time of 18:30.85. Nobili hung with the lead pack and didn't forge to the front until there was about a half mile remaining. Westwood's Ashley Walker was second at 18:40.71. Nauset's Tara Ellard secured third in 18:53.52.
Despite three of its runners in the top eight, Nauset fell to Westwood for the team title. The Wolverines had five of their harriers before Nauset's fourth to earn a 79-108 win. Nobili's younger sister, freshman Izzy Nobilli, was the next runner across the line for the Warriors, placing ninth overall in 19:43.17.
