Class A Boys
Newburyport High junior Sam Acquaviva, a fourth-place finisher at last year's Division 2 All State Finals, was a convincing winner in this race. Acquaviva went under 16 minutes for the first time in his HS career with a winning time of 15:44.88. Norwell's Steve O'Driscoll was second at 16:13.0 and right behind was John Riley of Boston College High, who was timed in 16:17.64.
Averaging a crisp 16:48 by its varsity runners, BC High was able to claim the team title, defeating second-place Wachusett Regional, 53-75. Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles was Marcus Lespasio (fifth, 16:32.65), William Cole-French (seventh, 16:41.58), Trevor Hu (14th, 17:03.50) and Nick Fein (24th, 17:25.85).
