Schools throughout the region will be at Goddard Memorial State Park this Saturday for the Brown University Northeast Invitational. The meet will feature teams from Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and, of course, the Ocean State.
In the past, the Brown Invite has attracted some top-level talent to the starting line. Last year, New York's Katherine Lee of Shoreham-Wading River broke the girls CR with a winning time of 16:45.45. A total of 12 races will be on the slate Saturday, beginning with the Freshmen Girls at 9:20 a.m. The Championship events with bookend the meet with the girls starting at 2:20 p.m. and the boys answering the gun at 2:45 p.m.
