Massachusetts athletes turned in plenty of top performances this past weekend. St. John Prep's Tristan Shelgren won an exciting race in the Championship division of the Ocean State Invitational. Also in that race, the Wellesley boys claimed the team crown in impressive fashion with their top five scoring runners among the first 30 finishers. Parker Charter's Nico Agosta broke the tape in the Division 1 race at Ocean State. In New York, the St. John's boys captured the Division 2 title at the Bowdoin X-C Classic, a meet that takes place on a difficult 5k course, the same one used for the Nike Cross Nationals Northeast Regionals in late November. Lowell took runner-up honors against a powerful Bishop Hendricken squad in a competitive Manchester Invitational. Finally, Brookline's Lucas Aramburu was winner at the Amherst Invitational where five harriers were under 16 minutes.
Now we want your vote! Pick what you believe was the best of them all among these fine efforts by our Bay Staters. Voting ends Saturday at midnight.
