Massachusetts Memorable Outdoor T&F Moments: Danny Renwick, High Jump, Loucks Games

During the next few weeks, MileSplit MA will feature what we consider the best performances of the outdoor track & field season. This was an arduous task to undertake as there was an abundance of fine efforts turned in by our Bay Staters throughout this spring campaign. Without further adieu...

Danny Renwick

First place, High Jump, Glenn B. Loucks Games - May 13

The Old Rochester senior is one of our most versatile track & field athletes. He not only excels in the high jump and the hurdles, but is the state's best pentathlete. Renwick has had several shining moments this spring. He won his second state crown this year in the high jump, following his win on the indoor surface. He also won the pentathlon and finished second in the 110-meter hurdles at the All State Meet.

But the one effort we felt was the best of them all occurred in New York at the annual Glenn B Loucks Games, a meet that attracts some of the best from the northeast. Renwick tied his personal best by clearing an impressive 6 feet, 10 inches.
