Mikey Brannigan Takes Home Three US Paralympic Championship Gold Medals



Former Northport (NY) High standout Michael Brannigan took home three gold medals over the weekend at the 2017 US Paralympic Championships in Los Angeles, California. Brannigan won the 800m in 1:55.92, the 1500m in 3:54.01 and the 5K in 15:31.41. 

Also competing in the Games was current Syracuse (UT) High stud and University of Arkansas signee Hunter Woodhall. Woodhall took home two medals of his own in the 200m and the 400m. In both, he finished second. In the 200m, Nicholas Rogers took home the gold running 21.40 and Woodhall was second in 21.69. In the 400m, Woodhall (47.29) placed second behind Austin Digby (47.23) by only .06.
