Local Athletes Competing At Loucks Games


A few of our MA athletes are in White Plains this weekend competing at the 50th annual Glenn B. Loucks Games, a meet that always attracts some stellar competition from throughout the northeast.

Newton South's Clare Martin clocked a nation No. 16 on Friday in the 800-meter run, finishing third overall with a time of 2 minutes, 9.91 seconds.  Marshfield clocked a state-leading 10:18.11 in the boys' East Coast Distance Medley Relay, placing third overall. St. John's was fifth with a time of 10:22.76. n the freshmen-sophomore DMR, Marshfield was second with an 11:11.33 clocking.

St. John Prep's Tristan Shelgren was 12th overall in the always-loaded 3,200m with a solid time of 9:09.69.
