Concord-Carlisle captured a close race in the 4x400m relay at the Div. 3 Relays!
The spectators at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday got treated to a number of thrilling races at the MSTCA Division 3 State Relays.
The two most exciting of the day occurred in the 4x400-meter relays. In the boys' event, Catholic Memorial held off Amherst Pelham down the stretch to win with a time of 3 minutes, 28.33 seconds. Amherst was just inches behind in 3:28.50 for second. Winchester out-leaned Belmont in the girls' race, combining for a winning time of 4:06.88 to Belmont's 4:06.91 effort.
C-M clocked the nation's seventh fastest time in the girls' DMR.
Concord-Carlisle registered a nation No. 7 for the girls' distance medley relay with a first-place time of 12:28.14. Amherst-Pelham ran the country's 11th fastest time in the 4x800m relay with 8:06.19 clocking.
