Rhode Island might be one of the smaller states in our country, but this weekend it will be bursting at it seams with a massive influx of runners from near and far for the 2016 Ocean State Invitational. Slated to have over 5,000 runners competing throughout this Friday and Saturday, we will certainly have no shortage of action and quality competition.
Looking to be in the heart of all the action, numerous teams from Massachusetts will be crossing the state line and trying to flex their Bay State muscle in every race out. We expect the biggest sparks to fly at high noon on Saturday, as the Boy's Championship race will go off at 12:00 and the Girls Championship race will follow at 12:30. Toeing the line for Massachusetts in the Boys Champs race will be Blackstone Valley, Douglas, Dracut, Greater Lowell Tech, Hamilton-Wenham, Lexington, Natick, Parker Charter, and St. John's. On the girls side will be Bishop Feehan, Hamilton-Wenham, Lexington, Natick, Parker Charter, Tewksbury, and Weston.
