The Tommy Cochary High School Mile took place last weekend in Falmouth. The Annual High School Mile takes place the day before the Falmouth Road Race showcased a few of the Top Milers in Massachusetts.
After finishing second the past two years, Zachary Manikas-Hill of Lexington High School won in 4:33.14. Rachel Sessa of Tewksbury High School took the girls' race in 5:03.39.
Zachary Manikas-Hill lost a photo finish at the All State Championship last spring. He has a personal best mile of 4:16. Rachel Sessa came on strong last spring and crushed a 4:53 to win her first Outdoor Mile title.
Both winners will have a grant of $2,500 awarded to their High School in their name to help with their Athletic program.
