Catch Over 3000 Athletes Live On Milesplit All Weekend Long !

"Perhaps this is what we should concentrate on more. Where else could a freshman or sophomore get to score in a meet and get noticed" said the late great MSTCA leader Bob McIntyre 31 years ago at the first Auerbach Freshman Sophomore Meet.

The 1985 meet took place and featured a split meet with a Freshman Sophomore Division and Junior Senior Divisions. 1100 Athletes competed in the marathon long meet that last into the evening at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology facility. The meet was sponsored by the Red Auerbach Foundation which helped promote Youth Sports and was named after the Boston Celtics legendary coach.

Thirty-One years later the meet is bigger and better than ever. This weekend at Reggie Lewis will feature over 3000 Freshman and Sophomores track athletes from all over the Bay State. The Large Schools will invade Reggie Lewis Center Saturday, followed by the Small School athletes on Sunday.
