Milesplit Insider
As your state webmaster for the last 3 years, I have watched Milesplitmass grow to another level. The state webmaster is a job of passion. We often spend very long hours before, during, and after meets to provide the best possible coverage for the fans of our sport. As the merger with Flocasts ( Flotrack) enters the second year, we need to be more structured as a state. As of today we will be locking more content on our site. I am asking you as our state webmaster, to help support the site and sign up as a Milesplit Insider.
What some people don't realize is that Milesplitmass is basically managed by one person. I hire a freelance writer, 1 photographer, and a few high school kids to help me get through some live photo streams. I have always done my best to provide complete coverage of our growing sport. As a high school coach myself, I know the importance of getting the results and performance list up as fast as possible. With the help of our timers and officials I have gone to great lengths to provide live results, live photo streams, as well as provide some of the best photos around of our track and field athletes. This all comes at cost and we are going to need your help to raise our game to an even higher level.
What your subscription would help us to do!
* More Content ! This will allow us to provide much more content. Each and every article takes time, effort, and money to produce. Sometimes I have to hire several writers to cover meets at multiple locations. We will be able to provide more of these articles.
* One of the few complaints that I get across my desk is we need more coverage beyond Rte. 495. We have had great support from some contributors from out west and in the central part of our state. I would love to have the funding to hire a staff from these locations. I would love to have constant flow of coverage coming from all areas of Massachusetts and by signing up as a MileSplit Insider, that will help in that process.
* More Video Coverage ! I would love to hire several people to help video every single major X-Country meet this fall. Video coverage becomes expensive because of the time it takes to film, edit, and post online. A Milesplit Insider subscription will help achieve that goal.
* More Features ! We all love the "Workout of the Week" type content. Steve Infascelli has been nice enough to travel to a few schools and produce some great WOW videos. Those features are amazing and like all of you guys, I want more of them. How about a "Where are they Now Feature? " I would love to track down some of those former state champions and interview them. How about bringing back the Exchange Zone? How about your biggest Rivalry featured on Milesplit? Nobody wants this content more than your state webmaster, but again I can't expect people to work for free, and your Milesplit Insider subscription will help in that process.
* Even More Photo's ! We are fortunate enough to have Jack Prior of NewtonSportsPhotography.com to help capture some classic photos. Unfortunately we can't clone Jack for multiple locations, but we would love to have the flexibility to hire more photographers

* More Integration ! The Alan Web Driven Series is a glimpse into the future of the two companies evolving together. With a Milesplitmass Subscription you will have access to this merging content.
* Live Broadcasts! Flotrack has already provided a large number of states with Live Video Broadcasts for some major high school meets around the country. They have the tools, equipment, and experience to broadcast our meets to the nation. Although we have a bunch of red tape to cut through in Massachusetts, broadcasting live can happen immediatley.
* Other Live Broadcast's ! The New York State Meet was live this past spring. With your subscription you have access to all the live content on Milesplit.
* The biggest help they will give us is a budget ! A budget to really allow me to provide you with the best possibe product.
What will you get with the Milesplit Insider subscription ?

* Access to Virtual meets and Athlete comparson
* Access to all the Photo Galeries. As long as Milesplimass paid for someone to shoot the photos these areas will be locked. If you are a Milesplitmass Insider and you see a cool photo of your child or athlete, and I personally snapped the photograph, just send me an email and I will send you a courtesy high-resolution photo. If your a coach and you need some local shots for the newspaper, as long as I captured it with my camera, I will do my best to honor those requests. These are benefits that can be offered toMileSplit Insiders as well.
What will Remain Free ?
We will offer at least one posting of "non subscription" content everyday day. Things like Senior Salutes, Blogs, and content that was sent to us by our fans will remain free. The photos and videos added by subscribers will never be locked.
Please remember....We are not punishng people by locking material. We are just providing our Milesplit Insider subscribers with more content. We were basically the last State on the Milesplit Network to offer everything free, but now it's time to wave the white flag because we need help. I need to hire more people to join the Milesplitmass team. Flocast is willing to help with that process. They are willing to give Milesplitmass a sizeable budget to achieve our goals, but we need your help in building a subscription following. The Milesplit Insider fee is $4.00 a month if you purchase a full year, or you can go month to month for $7.99.
