Massachusetts At New Balance Outdoor Nationals

 

Here are some of the fantastic Massachusetts performances in the Championship Divisions down at NBON.

5K !   Paul Hogan of Burlngton (14:31) and Matt Mahoney of Swampscott (14:37) landed on the podium for their stellar efforts in the 5000M run.

NY TO NC !  Garrett O'Toole of the Middlesex School flew in from the Dream Mile in NY to catch the 800 Meter Run. O'Toole ran 1:49.68.

Burlington High School Distance Medley Team finished  9th place with a time of 10:09.71.

Mass 800 Meter Champion P.J. Garmon ran 1:52.2 in the 800 Meter run.

Little known Emma Fitzgerald tossed the Javelin 149'1  feet to finish 4th in the Championship division. She is a sophomore from Thayer Academy.

Bye Bye O'Toole..Hello Viraj Deokar !  The Middlesex school sophomore ran 9:04.62 for the 2 Mile run. 

 

Erin Dietz of Bedford High School smiled her way to an amazing 16:47 to finish 4th place in the 5K.

Old Rochester's Mke Wyman nearly captured the Championship Mile with a personal best of 4:08.71. He finished 4th place.

Lincoln Sudbury (20:43) and Needham (20:50)  finished 9th and 12th in the 4x1 Mile Run. 

National Champion !  Nick Fofana of Newton North is the Decathlon Champion with 6660 points. Matt Fischetti of Phillips Academy was 5th place.

Mansfield broke their own 4x400 Meter record running 3:48.44 for a 7th place finish. They ran 3:50.04 in 2009.

Karina Shepard  ran 2:07.15 to finish her Dracut High School career with a 4th place finish.

Gabe Arcaro of Burlington and Elizabeth Tevnan of NDA represented Mass in the Hammer Throw. Arcaro finished 7th place.
