SOMERVILLE — Rick Kates always wants his athletes to have goals. But his Notre Dame (Hingham) girls’ track and field team exceeded its own expectations Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars were the only team to win multiple events at the 38th annual Girls’ State Coaches Invitational at Dilboy Stadium.

Junior Isabella DiMare (24.76 seconds) captured the 200-meter dash and senior Elizabeth Tevnan (130 feet 5 inches) won the discus. The team of DiMare, Amanda Reilly (a Northeastern commit), Gabby Sellari, and Gabby Kenyon took home the 4 x 100 relay in 49.17 seconds.
